Bounteous Harvest Painting by Nancy Rosier

This theorem painting (Painted on fabric with the use of a stencil) is based on a museum theorem found in the Rockefeller collection. The theorem found in the museum was created between 1833 - 1840.

Museum Adaptation:
This museum adaptation by American Folk Artist Nancy Rosier of Williamsburg Virginia is certainly very ambitious in size, in the diversity of the fruits represented and in the attention given to naturalistic detail.

It would appear that the original creator of this piece aspired to unusual heights of artistic sophistication considering the fundamentally mechanical nature of the stenciling technique.

Nancy - "Just had to tell you - one more time - how perfect the theorem is you painted for me! The colors are right on! And the extra attention that you took with the shading makes the theorem particularly beautiful! It is the most treasured painting I have in my house!"
