This page contains both historically based theorems adaptations
from some of the finest museums collections plus Nancy Rosier's
own designs. All the theorems shown are hand painted with
the use of a stencil on velveteen fabric. The frames
are also hand painted or false graining. Theorems compliment
antique collections and older homes. Theorems was most popular
between 1810 and 1860.

Nancy
enjoys studying the old theorems paintings that are
found in the Colonial Williamsburg collection. If you
are ever in Williamsburg please stop and see the collection
at the Abbey
Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum and at Bassett
Hall.
Nancy Rosier has her studio in Williamsburg Virginia.
Theorem Painting is an early American Decorative Art
that dates back to the 1800's. All the theorems shown
in this gallery use the same methods that were employed
in the 1800's. My of the theorems Nancy does are adaptations
of museum pieces and from antique collections.
